Grip Fit No Drill Blinds Installation

Installing your blinds couldn’t be easier.

Once you have opened your blind, simply raise the cassette into your recess at an angle, level it out and flip the bracket levers down to lock in place. Now you can insert the blind into the cassette, slide out the bracket covers and operate your blind.

The system works using a specially developed rubber compound and a clever bracket system to push out on your recess with up to 60kg of force. This means you can be confident that the blind will last the test of time, a promise we back with a impressive 10 year guarantee.

Is my window suitable for Grip Fit™ Roller Blinds?

Is your recess solid?

Because the bracket system pushes out with up to 60kg of force your recess needs to be solid. We have tested a whole host of substrates including brick, tile, plaster board and wood which are all suitable. However if your recess will move when pushed for example if you have plasterboard with nothing behind it then your window won’t be suitable for grip fit™.

Is your recess deep enough?

The cassette is a total of 8cm deep, so your recess must be at least this deep to house the product.

Are your walls parallel?

The grip fit roller blind grips onto the side of your recess. As a result of this your walls need to be parallel to each other and not taper forward or back where you are going to install the blind as this would stop the rubber compound from making contact with the wall fully.

How to measure for Grip Fit™ roller blinds:

It is important to use a steel tape measure as fabric tapes can stretch over time.

  1. Measure the depth of your recess. It needs to be at least 8cm deep to accommodate the Grip Fit cassette.
  2. Check the walls are solid by pushing on them with your hand. If the walls don’t move or bend when you push then they are suitable.
  3. Measure the width of your recess at the top of the window. It is important to measure to the nearest mm and in the area where you'll be installing the cassette, i.e. at the front or at the the back of the recess. Remember to allow room for your window handle if you have one.
  4. Measure the drop of the window in three places and note down the longest drop.

Operating Your Electric Grip Fit™ roller blinds:

Single channel remote:

Operating your no drill electric blinds is as easy as pressing a button. For a single channel remote simple use the up or down button to send your blind to the pre-set limits. Job done.

Multi-Channel remote:

If you have chosen a multi-channel remote you need to select the channel that your blind is recorded onto first and then use the up or down button to send your blind/s to its pre-set limits. Multi channel remotes are great when you have multiple blinds in a room and you want to operate blinds together.

For example you might use 3 blinds to dress a bi-fold door aligning up with the transoms for a finished look. The most common setup here would be to set each blind on its own channel and then use the fourth channel to operate all 3 together.

App control:

Your blinds are bluetooth enabled as standard so you can simply download the Louvolite app, add your blinds and control them from your phone.

Home hub:

If you want to set timer controls, for example have the blinds raise up at 7am so the windows are open when you come downstairs and then for them to lower back down at 7pm you will need the home hub for this.

This unlocks some of the best benefits of owning electric blinds as you can:

  • Simulate occupancy when away on holiday.
  • Reduce energy bills by locking in the heat in the evening and allowing the sun to warm your home in the morning.
  • Make your life easier as the blinds will operate on their schedules with no intervention until they need charging.
